WBET Review 2026: Sportsbook, Malay Odds and Licence Check

Short answer: WBET is an Asian sportsbook whose web app offers Asian Handicap, over/under, 1X2 and mix parlay betting with Malay odds as the default format, and some casinos also carry it in their sports lobbies. On 20 October 2026 we could not find a licence for WBET on any public register we checked, and the WBET pages we could read do not name a company or a regulator. Our testers have not bet on it yet.

Who runs WBET, and the licence we could check

WBET's own pages do not name the company behind the brand, its founding year or its address. Its home page title presents WBET as a sportsbook software platform provider offering API integration, and its mobile site, as shown in search results, calls WBET a 'Licensed Sports Bookmaker' without naming a regulator or licence number. Several reseller and affiliate pages say WBET was previously known as WinningFT, and the old WinningFT site promoted a 'W Sports' app in 2019, but WBET has not confirmed the change on any page we could read. On 20 October 2026 we found no WBET entry on the Malta, UK, Isle of Man or Curaçao registers.

Sports, markets and Malay odds

WBET's site says it covers over 90 sports and thousands of live matches. The menus of its web app, archived in February 2026, name football, basketball, baseball, American football, tennis and esports, plus virtual football, horse racing, dog racing and motorsport. Bet types include handicap, over/under, odd/even, 1X2, moneyline, double chance, total goals, first and last goal, corners and bookings, outrights, mix parlay and system parlay, with a cash out option. Odds can be shown as Malay, Hong Kong, Indonesian, decimal (European) or Myanmar odds, and the app's default setting is Malay odds on Kuala Lumpur time, a sign that Malaysian bettors are a core audience.

Live betting, and how WBET appears inside a casino

The WBET web app has an In-Play section, a Live TV option and a Live Center for following matches, and it splits the betting menu into Early, Today and In-Play markets. Its account screens use credit terms such as given credit and commission, which suggests it was built for agent-managed accounts as well as direct play. When a casino adds WBET to its sports lobby, WBET supplies the odds and settles the bets, while the casino holds your balance, sets the limits and pays out winnings. Which sports, markets and streams you see can differ from one casino to another.

What this means for a player in Malaysia

Online sports betting is not licensed in Malaysia. Credit accounts opened through an agent, outside any casino, are a different and riskier arrangement: there is no operator in between to hold deposits or handle complaints, and we could find no licence covering WBET itself. If you meet WBET inside a casino's sports lobby, that casino is the party you rely on for withdrawals, so check its licence and payout record before you deposit. Search results for WBET are also full of look-alike domains and copy sites, so be careful about which page you open and where you enter your details.

What our testers will check

Hands-on testing has not started, and nothing on this page comes from our own betting. When our testers start placing bets on WBET inside a casino, they plan to record whether Malay odds stay the default, how quickly live bets are accepted or rejected on a Malaysian mobile connection, whether Live TV actually plays, how cash out and mix parlay bets are settled, and how long winning bets take to reach the balance. They will also note the minimum and maximum stakes at a few casinos. Until then, this review reports only what WBET's own pages and public registers show, as checked on 20 October 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is WBET legit?

WBET is a working sportsbook that some casinos carry, but on 20 October 2026 we could not find a licence for it on the Malta, UK, Isle of Man or Curaçao registers, and its pages do not name a regulator or licence number. Treat its 'licensed' wording with caution and check the licence of the casino you use.

Is WBET the same as WinningFT?

Several reseller and affiliate pages say WBET was previously called WinningFT, and the old WinningFT site promoted a 'W Sports' app before it went offline. WBET's own pages we could read do not confirm the rename, so we treat it as likely but unconfirmed.

Does WBET have Malay odds?

Yes. WBET's web app offers Malay, Hong Kong, Indonesian, decimal and Myanmar odds, with Malay odds as the default. In Malay odds a positive price such as 0.85 is the profit on each 1 you stake, while a negative price such as -0.90 means you stake 0.90 to win 1.

What sports can you bet on at WBET?

WBET's site claims over 90 sports. Its app menus name football, basketball, baseball, American football, tennis and esports, plus virtual sports. The full list you see depends on the day's events and on the casino.

Does WBET have live betting and Live TV?

Yes. The WBET web app has an In-Play section, a Live TV option and a Live Center. Whether a stream is available for a given match, and whether the casino shows it, will vary.

Who owns WBET?

We do not know. WBET's pages do not name an operating company, a founding year or an address, and we found no register entry that would identify one.

Which casinos have WBET?

Our casino records note WBET where a casino names it as a sportsbook provider, and at least one casino we review lists it. We do not publish a list here; the sports lobby at each casino is the place to check.

Is it safe to bet on WBET through an agent?

An agent credit account outside a casino is riskier than using WBET inside a casino lobby, because nobody licensed stands between you and the bookmaker over deposits, withdrawals or disputes. Online sports betting is also not licensed in Malaysia.
