4D Dream Numbers: What the Charts Say, and What Actually Happened
First things first: there is no single correct dream number. Two different charts are used in Malaysia. One runs from 000 to 999 (the thousand-number chart, also sold as the Guan Yin or Tua Pek Kong chart), the other has only 1 to 38. The same dream gets different numbers, and even one chart repeats itself (pig and wild boar are both 023).
Besides the table, this page has a column nobody else publishes: how often that number has actually come up (Magnum, Sports Toto and Da Ma Cai since 1985, 16,138 draws). You can see the answer for yourself.

Do dream numbers come up more often?
Magnum since 1985, Sports Toto since 1992 and Da Ma Cai since 2005 have produced 339,874 winning numbers. Any given three digits (381, say) should turn up at the end of a winning number about 339.9 times by chance alone.
What actually happened: the 48 dream numbers in this table came up 337.7 times on average, the busiest 373 times and the quietest 307. That is what 48 numbers picked at random would do. Dream numbers help you choose, they don't help you win.
Why the 1 to 38 chart gives different numbers
The small chart comes from an older game with only 36 to 38 numbers, so it gives two digits. Players put one or two digits in front to turn it into a 4D number. Two systems, one dream, two answers, which is why the internet never agrees on this.
