Hacksaw Gaming Review 2026: Tested on Three Phones, With RTP Versions
Short answer: 2 of the 22 casinos we tested list Hacksaw Gaming: MIDAS55 and EG33. Our three testers scored it 4.33 out of 5 on their phones.
Our hands-on review of Hacksaw Gaming
Hacksaw Gaming is built for big swings, and our three testers felt it. Every game played upright and looked sharp on a phone, with crisp, quick animations; the first game opened in two to five seconds, slowest on 4G, where one tester saw an occasional stutter. Results split sharply: one tester hit a big win on Wanted Dead or a Wild, while the other two never reached a bonus in 15 minutes and watched their balance fall, an impression of a short session, not a payout figure. Hacksaw publishes four RTP versions for each game, from about 96% down to about 88%, so the version your casino runs matters. Its Malta and UK licences check out.

What our testers noticed
- Bernard: On an ordinary spin in Wanted Dead or a Wild, VS symbols expanded and spread multipliers across the screen for a big win. It looks superb upright on a phone, and the animations are crisp, with no dragging.
- HY: Le Bandit's French thief theme is fun, but ordinary spins swing very hard, and my balance went down fast within 15 minutes. The style is really distinctive and the sound is top class.
- Rizqi: The volatility is so high that 15 minutes of ordinary spins brought me no combinations, and my balance fell quickly. On 4G the first animation was a little slow to load, but once in, it was fine.
Official RTP versions, maximum win and volatility
| Game | RTP versions (Hacksaw's figures) | Maximum win | Volatility (Hacksaw's rating) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wanted Dead or a Wild | 96.38/94.55/92.33/88.42% | 12,500x | ●●●●○ |
| R.I.P. City | 96.22/94.27/92.32/88.02% | 12,500x | ●●●○○ |
| Chaos Crew 2 | 96.27/94.22/92.41/88.28% | 20,000x | ●●●●● |
| Le Bandit | 96.34/94.23/92.17/88.36% | 10,000x | ●●●○○ |
Hacksaw publishes four RTP versions for each of these games, from about 96% down to about 88%: Wanted Dead or a Wild comes as 96.38%, 94.55%, 92.33% or 88.42%. Its pages do not say who chooses, but you only ever play one version, and the RTP in the game's information screen at your casino tells you which. Maximum wins and volatility ratings, on Hacksaw's own scale of 5, come from its game pages, read on 16 October 2026; Hacksaw does not give release dates. A 15-minute session like our testers' shows how a game feels, not what it pays back over time.
Licence and testing
HGMT Limited, the Malta company named on Hacksaw Gaming's site, holds a Malta Gaming Authority licence, MGA/CRP/501/2018, whose register entry names Hacksaw Gaming's website, and an active UK Gambling Commission licence, account 54059; we checked both on the regulators' registers on 16 October 2026. Hacksaw's site also states licences in Greece, Romania, Ontario, Sweden and Denmark, and an Isle of Man licence held by HGIM Ltd, an Isle of Man company, which we did not check one by one. These cover the studio and its games, not the casino you play at: none of the casinos that take Malaysian players is licensed in Malaysia. Hacksaw says it has more than 250 games in over 35 regulated markets, and each game page on its site has a free demo.
Who it suits
Players who want very high volatility, dark or comic-book art and bonus-buy features, and who accept long stretches without a win in exchange for a shot at a huge maximum. If you want a steady session, this is not the studio; and check which RTP version your casino runs before you start.

Frequently asked questions
Is Hacksaw Gaming legit?
Yes. HGMT Limited, the Malta company named on Hacksaw Gaming's site, holds a Malta Gaming Authority licence, MGA/CRP/501/2018, and an active UK Gambling Commission licence, account 54059, both of which we checked on the regulators' registers on 16 October 2026. They cover the studio and its games, not the casino you play at.
What is the RTP of Hacksaw Gaming slots?
Each game comes in four versions, from about 96% down to about 88%. Wanted Dead or a Wild, for example, is 96.38%, 94.55%, 92.33% or 88.42%, and Le Bandit 96.34%, 94.23%, 92.17% or 88.36%. The figure in the game's information screen at your casino is the version you are playing.
Which Hacksaw slot has the biggest maximum win?
Of the four in our table, Chaos Crew 2, at 20,000 times the bet. Wanted Dead or a Wild and R.I.P. City go up to 12,500x, and Le Bandit to 10,000x.
Are Hacksaw slots high volatility?
Mostly, yes. On Hacksaw's own scale of 5, Chaos Crew 2 rates 5, Wanted Dead or a Wild 4, and R.I.P. City and Le Bandit 3. Two of our three testers never reached a bonus in 15 minutes, which is how high volatility can feel, though a short session says nothing about what a game pays back.
Can you buy the bonus in Hacksaw slots?
Some, yes. Wanted Dead or a Wild's own page describes a Bonus Buy feature that skips straight to one of its bonus games, and one of our testers named bonus buying as part of Hacksaw's appeal.
Can I play Hacksaw Gaming slots for free?
Yes. Each game page on Hacksaw's own site has a free demo, so you can see how a slot behaves before you try it at a casino.
Do Hacksaw games work on a phone?
Yes. All three of our testers played every game upright and praised how it looks. The first game opened in 2 to 5 seconds, slowest on 4G, where one tester saw an occasional stutter.
Are Hacksaw games in Chinese and Malay?
All three testers found Chinese and English, but none of them found Malay in the games they played.
How many casinos carry Hacksaw Gaming?
Two of the 22 casinos we tested list Hacksaw Gaming among their games. A studio deal says nothing about whether a casino pays out, so read the casino's own review too.
How did you test Hacksaw Gaming?
Three testers each played three Hacksaw Gaming games for about 15 minutes on their own phone, one on Wi-Fi, one on 5G and one on 4G, and scored the interface, the speed and the whole experience out of 5.
