Who runs Evolution, and the licences we checked
Evolution is the live casino business of Evolution AB (publ), a Swedish company listed on Nasdaq Stockholm that says it was founded in 2006. On 20 October 2026 the Malta Gaming Authority register listed Evolution Gaming Malta Limited as Licensed under MGA/CRP/187/2010, a B2B critical supply licence. The UK Gambling Commission register showed Evolution Malta Holding Limited, account 41655, with active remote Gambling Software and Game Host (Casino) licences. The same UK register records a settlement dated 23 July 2026: Evolution agreed to pay £4,750,000 after genuine Evolution games were found on unlicensed websites that people in Great Britain could reach.
Where the studios are and what the tables are like
Evolution's timeline traces its first studio to Riga, Latvia, and names later studios in Malta, Spain, Belgium, Romania, Tbilisi in Georgia, Lithuania, Armenia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Canada, Colombia, Argentina and several US states. Romania's gambling office lists a Class II studio licence for Evolution Products RO SRL in Bucharest. Evolution's brand page claims more than 700 live tables and game show sets running around the clock in 15 languages. Its standard baccarat is dealt face down at a bean-shaped table, and Evolution says a normal round lasts about 48 seconds, while Speed Baccarat, dealt face up, takes about 27.
Games that stand out, and the house edge
The baccarat range covers classic Baccarat, Speed Baccarat, No Commission Baccarat, Squeeze, Control Squeeze, Peek Baccarat and Always 8 Baccarat, plus Lightning Baccarat, which adds a 20% fee to fund random multipliers. Tables built around Asian games include Dragon Tiger, Lightning Dragon Tiger, Super Sic Bo and Lightning Sic Bo. With standard rules and an eight-deck shoe, a Banker bet returns 98.94% after the 5% commission, Player returns 98.76% and a Tie paying 8:1 returns 85.64%. In No Commission Baccarat a Banker win on 6 pays half, which lowers Banker to 98.54%. Single-zero roulette returns 97.30%.
What this means for a player in Malaysia
Evolution sells to casino operators, not to players, so you only meet its tables inside a casino's live lobby. That casino decides which tables appear, which currencies it accepts and what the minimum and maximum bets are, so limits differ from site to site. Online casinos are not licensed in Malaysia. Evolution's roulette page lists native-speaking dealers in English, Japanese, Hindi, Turkish, Greek and many European languages; we did not see Mandarin, Cantonese or Malay named on the official pages we read. Evolution says its games are optimised for phones as well as desktops.
