IM Esports Review 2026: Inplay Matrix's Esports Book and Licence Check
Short answer: IM Esports is the esports betting book sold by Inplay Matrix, a B2B supplier that also makes IM Sports, and it appears in the Esports lobby of some Malaysian online casinos. Inplay Matrix's archived pages say it was built with the esports platform eSportsBull and let players watch matches live. On 21 October 2026 we found no gambling licence for Inplay Matrix or IM Esports on any public register we checked, and our testers have not bet on it yet.

Who is behind IM Esports
IM Esports, IM电竞 in Chinese, is the esports betting product of Inplay Matrix, a B2B supplier that says it was founded in 2009 and gives an office address in Ramsey, Isle of Man; a 2024 case study by an analytics firm places it in the Philippines. Inplay Matrix's archived Chinese page from January 2019 says IM Esports was launched through an exclusive partnership with eSportsBull, an esports betting platform. Its 2021 site still listed IM Esports among its products and the 2024 case study named it too, but its current site, checked on 21 October 2026, describes only its sportsbook and does not mention IM Esports.
The licence question
On 21 October 2026 we found no gambling licence for Inplay Matrix or IM Esports on the Isle of Man, UK, Curaçao, Anjouan or Tobique registers. Inplay Matrix's own FAQ says it works only as a B2B supplier, does not handle players' money or personal data, and cannot cover a casino's licensing needs. That is a common model in Asia, but it means IM Esports itself answers to no regulator we could find. Any protection you have comes from the licence of the casino you play at, so check that first. Inplay Matrix's sportsbook is reviewed separately on this site as IM Sports.
Games, live streams and bet types
Inplay Matrix has never published a full title list for IM Esports. Its 2018 product page for the esports book, which carried the eSportsBull description, named League of Legends, Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and King of Glory. It said the platform offered HD live streams, in-play betting, team and player statistics, and versions for mobile web, an app and a data feed for casinos that build their own screens. The January 2019 Chinese page repeats that players can watch matches live inside the platform. None of these pages names bet types or odds formats, and all of them are several years old.
IM Esports inside a casino, and what it means in Malaysia
In a casino, IM Esports usually appears as one tab in the Esports lobby, next to other esports books. IM Esports prices the matches and settles the bets, while the casino holds your balance, sets your stake limits and pays out, so a withdrawal problem goes to the casino. Some casinos also name Esports Bull as a separate esports provider; because Inplay Matrix built IM Esports with eSportsBull, the two may share a platform, but we could not confirm this. Online betting is not licensed in Malaysia, so no Malaysian body takes complaints about either, and the casino's terms are the rules you can rely on.
What our testers will check
Hands-on testing has not started, and nothing on this page comes from our own bets. When our testers do bet through IM Esports at the casinos we review, they plan to record which titles have markets on a normal weekday, which bet types and odds formats the lobby offers, whether live streams play on a Malaysian mobile connection, how long an in-play bet takes to be accepted, how cancelled or replayed maps are settled, and the stake limits at each casino. Until then, this review reports only what Inplay Matrix has published, as checked on 21 October 2026.

On 21 October 2026 we found no gambling licence for Inplay Matrix or IM Esports on the public registers we checked, and Inplay Matrix says it does not hold players' money. Your protection depends on the casino's own licence, so check that as well.
Who owns IM Esports?
IM Esports is sold by Inplay Matrix, which gives an office address in Ramsey, Isle of Man. Its website does not name the legal company behind it, its owners or any licence.
Is IM Esports the same as IM Sports?
Both come from Inplay Matrix. IM Sports is its sportsbook for football and other sports; IM Esports is its separate esports betting product. A casino can carry one without the other, and our IM Sports review covers the sportsbook.
What games can I bet on at IM Esports?
